Conflict of Interest?

User:Mariano edited this article (which is about a blog owned by Mariano himself, unless this is a sock) to remove the mentioning of his name and of the fact that he also runs (or contributes to) the various other blogs listed here.

I'm not sure about CP's COI rules, but unless someone can give me a good reason why we should hide such information, I'm going to revert that edit. --AlanS 22:23, 24 October 2008 (EDT)

There have been cases of people using Conservapedia for advertising or self-promotion and that has generally been frowned upon. This is an encyclopedia not an advertising directory. As I wrote the original piece it is acceptable that the person in question (if it is really him) should be permitted to correct factual errors and I have corrected the errors in my original text. The Conservapedia commandments state you must cite authoratative sources. To my knowledge, there are no authoratative sources indicating who is the owner of the blog in question. In addition, conservapedia states that material must be verifiable and true. I don't see how you are going to verify who the blog owner is. conservative 18:12, 31 October 2008 (EDT)
Is there a particular reason why this article was deleted and recreated? I wrote the original article and have now been deprived of the kudos of creating it. :( BrianCo 19:31, 31 October 2008 (EDT)
Probably because whoever deleted it wants to take credit for it himself. That's probably why it's protected now as well. HelpJazz 13:15, 1 November 2008 (EDT)
I added the reference to Mariano's list of blogs as there was some doubt over the authorship. He's quite a prolific author isn't he? --CAHERINE 19:33, 31 October 2008 (EDT)
Wouldn't this page be proof that they're all written by Mariano? Or am I missing something? LiamG 22:53, 31 October 2008 (EDT)

(unindent) Maybe I'm missing something, but is there a reason why this page gets deleted and recreated so often? I mean, it's already locked anyway. LiamG 21:49, 4 November 2008 (EST)

I bet it has to do with some super secret plan to add traffic to the atheism, theory of evolution and homosexuality articles. HelpJazz 01:05, 5 November 2008 (EST)

I'd like to know why it was deleted and recreated a couple of times also. And why it was locked. Otherwise I'll reinstate the history and unlock it. Philip J. Rayment 00:36, 11 November 2008 (EST)

No reasons yet. What about the issue that we have six articles about blogs that one man wrote? HelpJazz 21:35, 14 November 2008 (EST)
It seems that "Life and Doctrine" is now "in stasis". A fine term, I like it. It means it is sitting there doing nothing: but we are not allowed to say that because that giant of creationism, that paladin of... oh never mind. (Sorry Cons.,) AlanE 21:08, 11 February 2013 (EST)
