Can McCarran be considered a DINO?

He certainly broke from most Democrats in opposing the Senate censure of McCarthy, which he would have voted against had he still lived during December 1954. While it's generally straight-forward to identify RINOs past and present based on how liberal/conservative their voting record is, trying to determine if Democrats prior to the late 1900s can be considered DINOs is rather difficult because the party has had much more divided factions since the 1930s. —LT^{May D.C., his mother, and I.S. be all well!} Sunday, 00:37, August 8, 2021 (EDT)

Personally, I never liked those labels. Why do we have a filibuster rule, if the idea is to ridicule and discourage bipartisanship, and promote the tyranny of the majority? RobS^{Free Kyle!} 00:53, August 8, 2021 (EDT)
