Talk:Reince Priebus

Trump has made an 18 month commitment

(but things can change between now and then). It looks like Trump has made a decision. Trump has sided with the Boehner/Ryan/Priebus faction of the GOP against the Tea Party. This fued has been out in the open since October 2015 when Boehner quit. Those Tea Partiers', the Freedom Caucus are now running against Donald Trump in the 2018 Midterms, meaning Trump/Priebus/Ryan are not even going to bother asking their help on the debt ceiling bill, keeping the government open, the budget, tax reform, healthcare, or any other matter of concern to the national, mainstream constituency of the GOP. They may as well turn to Pelosi, who seems more reasonable and trustworthy (i.e. "trustworthy", meaning able to keep commitments) than the Tea Party.

Continued sniping at Priebus and Ryan can only be interpreted as support for the Tea Party/Freedom Caucus obstructionists in the absence of further instruction from the Grand Puba himself, the Honorable Donald J. Trump (according to inside Kremlinologists familiar with reading the tea leaves...). RobSCIA v Trump updated score:CIA 3, Trump 2 14:10, 30 March 2017 (EDT)

Not now

Despite all the talk, this would not be the time fire Preibus. As the Seth Rich/FBI coverup blows open, in time we'll see Preibus role in hiring a former DC homicide detective to keep the story alive and conduct a "3rd party" investigation to parallel the DC homicide and FBI investigations. Trump does not know Washington, and despite what Alexa Jones or Mike Cernovich say about Preibus, Trump needs him now more thsn ever.

True, while his legislative agenda is probably dead for this year, a chief of staff primary job wouldn't be pushing legislation that will go nowhere anyways. Now Trump needs someone to navigate through the DC bureaucracy, which includes not just FBI headquarters, but DC city government.

Pompeo may have role to play, too. Let's hope he was involved in opening the parallel investigation as well. His recent tweets trashing Wikileaks may have been a good diversion to convince the IC he is independent. RobSLock Up The Coup Plotters! 15:52, 16 May 2017 (EDT)
