SamHB, The terms is used to describe leftists - particularly the secular left. And it is a derogatory epithet. The term is not used to describe people on the right.

Also, it doesn't matter "how you see it". You can see yourself as the Queen of England, but that is not based on reality. Conservative 16:44, 23 July 2015 (EDT)

I was originally confused about what you wrote above, given that I had mentioned SJW's in an extremely derogatory way just a few minutes ago on 1990's guy's talk page. But it's a coincidence; you wrote the above some time ago.

I agree; it's a term used by / invented by American bleeding hearts. I apologize for anything I might have said to the contrary previously.

That said, I think it's important not to gratuitously and unnecessarily label people. I think this is a pretty good article.
