I agree, though the MSM bias against him has been unbelievable -- remember all those news stories of how he supposedly met with "a neo-Nazi party" whose leader has "Nazi connections," when in fact that party is the Freedom Party (the second most powerful party in the country, controlling all the country's national security-related ministries) whose leader is the Vice Chancellor of the country.

And then, some of his statements ("diversity is not our strength") are factually true and reasonable (our strength is overcoming our diversity to find unity). But the media treats those statements as somehow being "racist." --1990'sguy (talk) 08:40, 15 January 2019 (EST)

Well now he's been striped of all committee assignments, which leaves him just working the floor and doing constituent services. Without a committee assignment, he can't bring home the bacon for constituents. The decision of the steering committee was unanimous: he made himself a target, he allowed the liberal media to misquote him, he dug his own hole and don't expect the party to bail him out.

It's not impossible for him to be rehabbed. But he (like Trump) doesn't listen to advisors. And he's not Donald Trump. The DC GOP establishment (RCCC) will likely primary him, and get somebody who can actually do things to serve his constituents. Ideology means nothing. King now finds himself in a place similiar to Macron: It's probably too late, no amount of words can undo the damage, and no one will come to his defense. How ironic. It began as a discussion on the use of language, and in his inarticulate and insensitive manner, he took the bait. But the script is already written: "Before Trump. Steve King set the agenda...".
