Tyne and Wear
Tyne & Wear is an county for the purposes of lieutenancy in North East England which covers parts of the traditional counties Durham and Northumberland. It includes the five council areas Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland. Tyne and Wear gets its name from two large rivers which run through it, the Tyne and the Wear.
