Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the Emancipation Proclamation ending slavery in the United States.[2]
Muhammad Ali is a descendant of the escaped slave depicted in the Emancipation Memorial in Washington, D.C..[3] The Emancipation Memorial depicts a runaway slave being freed from the yoke of oppression by the Great Emancipator, Abraham Lincoln.[4][5] In recent years white Marxist agitators have defamed and defaced monuments of the first Republican president who also freed the slaves.[6]
In June 2020, a mob of white leftwing racists vowed to tear down the Emancipation Memorial.[7]
