Lauren Opal Boebert (born December 15, 1986 (age 39)), the 33-year-old mother of four and owner of the Shooters Grill in Rifle, Colorado, won a hard-fought congressional race against Democrat and former state lawmaker Diane Mitsch in a Colorado House district that is as large as Pennsylvania.
“I am proud to announce that I am the first mom to represent Colorado’s Third Congressional District,” stated Boebert from her restaurant on election night.[1]
She defied a lockdown in Colorado on Thanksgiving Day by declaring her large family get-together to be a funeral for a turkey, and thus within the exemption for funeral services.
