Super Bowl LVI (2022) is being hosted in SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, which is the most expensive stadium ever built at a cost of more than $5 billion. It is the home of the Rams and Chargers.
Parking is very expensive for championship games there, about $500 (!) for a few hours at a garage.[1] Meanwhile, the NFL extracts numerous subsidies from taxpayers for this annual event. Part of the special deal for the NFL is typically a waiver of all sales taxes for goods and merchandise sold at the event.
The halftime performers will be the Los Angelesrappers Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg, plus Eminem and the R&B singer Mary J. Blige.
Attendees will be required to wear masks except when eating or drinking. Proof of vaccination or a recent negative test for COVID-19 are required to be admitted to the stadium for the game.
