Esteban L. "Steve" Bovo, Jr. (born June 12, 1962) is an American Republican politician and the Mayor of Hialeah, Florida. Bovo previously served on the Miami-Dade County Commission from 2011-2020, the Hialeah City Council, in the Florida House of Representatives from 2008-2011. He ran an unsuccessful campaign for mayor of Miami-Dade County in 2020, losing to Daniella Levine Cava. Prior to serving as an elected official, Bovo worked at the historic Hialeah Park as a marketing and advertising executive.

Miami-Dade Mayoral Campaign
In October 2020, Bovo announced he was running for Miami-Dade County Mayor, and would go on to win won the Republican Primary. He was defeated in the general election by Democratic Commissioner Daniela Levine Cava, by a margin of 8%.
Hialeah Mayoral Campaign
Bovo won the nonpartisan primary for mayor of Hialeah on November 2, 2021. Bovo received 59 percent of the vote, meaning he won the primary outright. Bovo had recieved the endorsement of several high-profile Republicans, including President Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and Senator Marco Rubio, among others.
