The Biden impeachment inquiry into bribery, corruption, and influence peddling was launched on September 28, 2023.[1] Committee chair of the House Oversight Committee Rep. James Comer of Kentucky presided over the inquiry. Bank records for Hunter Biden, premier Joe Biden's son, and James Biden, Joe's brother, whom money was suspected of being laundered from foreign interests for the Biden crime family over a period of many years, were subpoenaed.
Appearing at the first hearing were Prof. Jonathan Turley of George Washington University Law School, Former Assistant Attorney General Eileen O’Connor in the DOJ Tax Division, Bruce Dubinsky of Dubinsky Consulting, and Michael J. Gerhardt for the Democrats.
Opening the enquiry, Speaker Kevin McCarthy, stating, recently House investigations "paint a picture of corruption" by Biden and his family.[2]

- Biden's extension of a federal COVID-19 eviction moratorium,
- other COVID-19 pandemic-related actions of Biden,
- business dealings of Biden's son Hunter Biden's energy policy,
- the Joe Biden classified documents incident, that Biden is "weaponizing" the government.
The strongest case, was decided upon: Joe Biden's involvement in financial corruption.
In late December the inquiry was expanded to investigate whether Biden obstructed Congress in keeping Hunter Biden from testifying.[10]
