Difference between revisions of "Pittsburgh Steelers"

Revision as of 00:21, December 18, 2008

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a National Football League franchise team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They are part of the American Football Conference (AFC) and play in the AFC North Division.

The Steelers are tied with the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys for the distinction of having won the most Super Bowls, five times, most recently in the 2005-06 season. The Steelers' path to the 2006 Super Bowl was notable in that the Steelers were the lowest seed in the AFC playoffs that year, and thus had to win three games on the road just to get to the Super Bowl.
