The Big 12 Conference (often written as Big XII) is an NCAA Division I conference, consisting of eleven public universities and one private university (Baylor) in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Iowa, and Nebraska. The conference is divided into the North and the South.
The most recent Big 12 team to win a national football championship was the University of Texas in 2006. Some of the more prestigious football schools in the conference are Nebraska, Texas, and Oklahoma.
