A bug-out bag (also known as a "go bag") is a suitcase, duffel, or backpack intended for situations where the owner has to leave home abruptly. While the contents of such a bag vary from person to person and situation to situation, typical bug-out bags include, but are not limited to:
- Clothing for at least three days
- Money (generally in cash, though some bug-out bags will have credit cards maintained for them)
- First-Aid Kit
- Snacks and beverages
- Books/handheld games/playing cards/portable DVD player
- Battery operated radio (generally only included in evacuation minded bug-out bags)
