Naturalistic views on the origin of life and the universe as we know it do have spiritual and religious implications. Evolution compromises many people's religious faith, which is very understandable. This is a concern that I think needs to be addressed honestly, and putting intelligent design into science classes is not an honest way to do that. I think that it should be addressed in religious contexts. But let science be science. Undermining science is not a way to address the cultural and religious concerns of people.

Creation Science and Intelligent Design certainly should be taught. Children show the origin of the universe requires a Creator. The laws of the universe, on which science depends, the fine-tuning of several constants required for the formation of intelligent life, and the incredible design of the human body, of each individual cell, of DNA, all certainly require an Intelligent Designer. Moreover, that the evidence shows the earth is young, and that DNA has been found in very ancient fossils, whereas it cannot survive more than 10,000 years, showing those ancient fossils are young. And all this shows that Creation, Earth and all Life had not only an Intelligent Designer, but an Almighty Creator.
But evolution is backed by no evidence. It is like a pagan religion completely opposed to Judeo-Christian Tradition. It has various proven frauds like Piltdown man, universally acknowledged today as a fraud, though disputed only by Creationists for nearly 40 years until 1953. Evolution is false science. Evolution therefore does not have a right to be taught in public schools, but Creation Science does.
