Sos doesn't mean "Save our Ship/Soul/Sailors" its a backronym. It also wasn't used buy the titanic first.

Correct--both are myths. I've changed the article to reflect same. (The accompanying image should probably be changed, too, as it is identical to the one at that "other" wiki...)--WJThomas 13:11, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
