A Short Break

I will be taking a trip back to my home continent, Africa! My wife and my kids are going to take a month long trip to visit my sister and brother who live in Kaapstad! And then off to visit grandpa who is moving from Singapore to Durban! I doubt I will have enough time to edit over there in Suid Afrika, plus travelling with 3 children under 16 is always exciting! So a brief farewell to Conservapedia :( ! No fear, I will be back!!

Hello my name is Ian Smyth Scott!

Here's a Little bit about me:

I was born in Bulawayo, Rhodesia (NOT SOUTHERN RHODESIA!!!!) in 1966. My family left Rhodesia in 1979 for South Africa. In 1980 when I was 14 Mum and Dad moved to the good old US of A! (Oddly I'm the only one who stayed here!)

No I am not named after Ian Smith, PM of Rhodesia; I'm named after my grandfather Ian Quatermaine Smyth.

Have been a conservative since I gained the right to vote!

Ian Smith -for establishing one of the greatest democratic governments in Africa
Hendrik F. Verwoerd -for fighting for independance and creating a republic in Africa (I would like to establish that I do not support in anyway his views on race, I only support his nationalism as far as creating a republic for South Africans...even though it took a while for it to be for ALL South Africans)
Edmund Barton -for his outstanding immigration policies (I think we should adopt a similar policy here in USA)
James Cook -for his sense of adventure and discovery

I hope to get to understand this site better, I'm not quite good with computers. I used to use wikipedia, but was referred to conservapedia by a friend at my church. Enjoy conservapedia, but it needs to be cleaned up just a tad, somethings aren't quite right BUT still beter than wiki!
