Pro-life school
Pro-life school is a concept that healthy learning and achievement are best fostered in a school that is committed to the principles of pro-life.
A pro-life medical school is planned for opening in Kansas in 2026.[1]
Values
Drugs, promiscuity, depression, transgender pressure, and many other obstacles face young people today. Some private schools test students regularly for drug use, by snipping hair regularly to send to a lab. While effective, it may also be considered somewhat degrading. Also, such testing does not address many other difficulties that students face.
Promoting pro-life values is probably the single best way to counter all the negative pressures on students.
Certified teachers
The teacher certification and related requirements in most states tend to produce teachers who are not pro-life. Unless a school is proactively pro-life, it will inevitably drift to the other side of the issue. See O'Sullivan's First Law.
Secondary schools
In an incident California in 2005, a student was expelled from a Catholic for complaining about a teacher who was apparently helping Planned Parenthood. The school also terminated the teacher but then entered into a confidential settlement with her.[2]
Colleges
Five colleges were honored in 2021 for being the most pro-life in the United States: [3]
- Arizona Christian University (AZ)
- Ave Maria University (FL)
- Benedictine College (KS)[4]
- Creighton University (NE)
- Liberty University (VA)
