Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens are a National Football League franchise based in Baltimore, Maryland. Ravens get their name from "The Raven", a poem by Edgar Allen Poe who is from that city. Baltimore and Maryland are liberal so it is probable that most of their fans are liberal. They are part of the American Football Conference (AFC) and play in the AFC North Division. The Ravens were created in 1996 when the Cleveland Browns owner Art Modell decided to move the Browns from Cleveland, Ohio to Baltimore. In their short history as a team they have won two Super Bowls, first (Super Bowl XXXV vs the New York Giants) and in 2013 vs the 49ers.

Five Ravens people are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Deion Sanders, one of them, is more famous as an Atlanta Falcon and Dallas Cowboy. Ray Lewis, a linebacker famous for his pre-game speeches, is recently retired. Lewis is expected to go into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first yeat of eligibility and has 40 sacks and 30 interceptions over his career.
