CJ Stroud

CJ Stroud is a phenomenal young NFL QB who shattered many records in 2023 and early 2024 (playoffs) as a rookie, playing for the Houston Texans while outspokenly evangelizing for Jesus Christ. Previously, as a star college player at Ohio State, he was photographed kneeling in prayer on the field.[1]

He grew up in a family impoverished by the lifetime incarceration of his father under California's brutal Three Strikes and You're Out Law.[2] CJ's home with his mother and siblings was a cramped apartment above a storage facility, and was reportedly even homeless for a time. CJ was quoted as saying about his father:

“ When I talk to him now, I don’t hold any ill will. I told him, ‘I love you.’ He made his mistakes. I’ve made mine. It’s not about the bad.[3] ”

When CJ earned money under the NIL program as a college star at Ohio State, he bought his mother a four-bedroom home.[3] He was subsequently picked as the #2 overall choice in the 2022 draft.
