Delegation skills are vital management skills which require two key skills - awareness of what level of control that is wanted and needed, which needs high levels of self-awareness.[1][2]

2. Choose the best/right delegate for the task.

3. Communicate thoroughly.

4. Make sure your delegate has necessary authority.

5. Provide sincere praise and feedback as you go.
