My primary concern, looking at it within the context of the featured article is that it is more of an "opinion piece" and I felt that on those grounds it did not really suit my criteria for a "featured article". - Neutral. Like Jessica, I have mixed feelings. I think it's an interesting and well-argued premise and so I think it should be featured. However, I also feel featured articles should be mainspace and not essay space. Perhaps we could have a featured essay?
