Ithaca is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea. It is the mythical home of the hero Odysseus from Homer's Iliad and Odyssey.
Several US states have cities named Ithaca, most notably Ithaca, New York, the home of Cornell University, one of the members of the Ivy League.
