A multinational corporation is a company having offices, stores or factories in more than one nation. Examples include Exxon, Apple, Toyota, Ford, General Motors, IBM, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Nike and Wal-Mart.

Many multinational corporations have assets, cash flow, and balance sheets larger than the Gross domestic product of many members of the United Nations General Assembly.
