The Philadelphia Phillies are a Major League Baseball team in the National League Eastern Division. The Philadelphia Phillies are based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Previously known as the Quakers and the Blue Jays.
The Shibe Park / Connie Mack Stadium - was the home of the Phillies from 1938–1970.
The Phillies are the oldest continuous one-nickname, one-city franchise in all of American professional sports.
Chase Utley is one of their most popular players. Young fans write him touching letters, for example this one from Mac in Philadelphia included baseball themed stickers:
"Dear Chase, I feel like I can call you Chase because you and me are so much alike.I would love to meet you some day, it would be great to have a catch. I know I can't throw as fast as you but I think you would be impressed with my speed. I love your hair. You run fast. Did you have a good relationship with your father? Me neither.
