Proposed merge with Biblical creation account

This proposal seems like a good idea. I concur. Philip J. Rayment 19:57, 16 August 2007 (EDT)

Creation stories

Since creation myth has been turned into a deletedpages redirect, will this page be expanded to cover the creation stories of other cultures and religions? Wandering 23:34, 17 May 2008 (EDT)

I don't know. Will it? There should be an article listing the creation stories of other cultures, but I'm not sure what is the best place to put them. This article has been proposed for merging into another article, so perhaps this is not the best place. I'd rather see something that compares creation stories from various cultures with the biblical account, as is done with flood accounts in Great Flood. Philip J. Rayment 00:38, 18 May 2008 (EDT)
Phillip E. Johnson told NOVA:
  • the absolute certainty, the dogmatic insistence with which the Darwinists told their story, began to have a boomerang effect. Because it alerted me to the possibility that something is wrong here. If these folks can't even recognize that this isn't that convincing a story, then there's something wrong with their thinking. That was the starting point for my book Darwin on Trial. I thought, This is not something we should trust as a creation story for all of life, because instead of getting evidence of a creation story, what we're getting is evidence of temporary variation in the size of finch beaks or the color of peppered moths in a species. This is a totally different story. [1]
So for at least one conservative, a "creation story" can be something other than the Judeo-Christian Bible account of Genesis. I suggest we rethink the scope of the article. --Ed Poor Talk 13:34, 23 May 2008 (EDT)
So perhaps what you're saying, and perhaps what we should do, is to merge the content of this article into Biblical creation account and change this page into an article about other/all creation stories. Philip J. Rayment 19:31, 23 May 2008 (EDT)
I wish I could take credit your this good idea! ;-0 --Ed Poor Talk 22:57, 26 May 2008 (EDT)

Title change

I think the title of this article should be changed as "story" is often interpreted as "fictional", which the Genesis account isn't. Fire$hark (talk) 18:57, 26 January 2020 (EST)

I've merged it with Biblical creation account, which should solve the problem. --DavidB4 (TALK) 00:06, 20 March 2020 (EDT)
