BakerHostetler is a DC law firm. Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya hired BakerHostetler, who in turn hired Glenn Simpson of FusionGPS to promote Russian interests and do opposition research on Bill Browder. Simpson was simultaneously working for Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee to smear Donald Trump with Russia collusion allegations. Simpson gave some of the opposition research he did on Browder associates, who were Clinton Foundation donors, to Veselnitskaya. Veselnitskaya carried the Simpson opposition research with her to the Trump Tower meeting with Donald Trump, Jr. in early June 2016.

Rinat Akhmetshin[1] and the brother of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, noted for her role in the Kavanaugh smear, also work for BakerHostetler.[2]
