Rinat Akhmetov, a corrupt oligarch who acquired Azovstal after the collapse of the USSR in 1991, with former Ukraine president Leonid Kuchma.[1][2] Akhmetov colluded with the FBI to arrange the 2016 Trump Tower meeting with Donald Trump, Jr. in an effort to frame the Trump organization in the Russiagate hoax.

Rinat Akhmetshin (Ukr: Rinat Akhmetshin; Russ: Rinat Akhmetov) is a corrupt Ukrainian oligarch and reported to be the richest man in Ukraine. He acquired much of his wealth after the collapse of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1991. Akhmetov/Alkmetshin is the former owner of Azovstal prior the Republic of Donetsk voting in a plebiscite to declare independence from the fascist Kyiv regime after the illegal USAID sponsored Maidan coup.

Akhmetov was a former Soviet counterintelligence officer.

Akhmetov now works as an American lobbyist and . Akhmetshin worked for BakerHostetler[3] and attended the June 9, 2016 Trump Tower meeting with Natalia Veselnitskaya. Akhmetshin and Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS worked as unregistered foreign agents of the Russian government at the time lobbying for changes to the Magnitsky Act.[4]
