Muhammad Fadhil Al-Jamali - 1958

Muhammad Fadhel al-Jamali (Fadil al-Jamali - Arabic: فاضل الجمالي; April 20, 1903 – May 24, 1997) was an Iraqi politician and educator. With the formation of Iraq in the 1930s, he played an important role in shaping the education system in the country. His views were pan-Arab[1] and pro-Nazi.[2][3][4][5][6] Served as Prime Minister of Iraq from September 17, 1953 to April 29, 1954. Served as Iraq's Foreign Minister eight times.

Born near Kadhimiya to a Shiite family. He studied at the American University in Beirut, and at Columbia University Teachers College. His doctoral thesis on education among the Bedouins.

By the time he received his B.A. in 1927, Jamali had become an Arab nationalist, influenced by the Arab-Palestinian members. Later on, in Germany, Jamali was impressed by Hitler Youth to be implemented in Iraq.[7]

In 1938, as the "Iraqi Director General of Education, Fadhil al-Jamali, sent an official uniformed delegation to the Nuremberg Rally, where their leader was personally introduced to Hitler. The uniform worn on that occasion by the Iraqis subsequently became that of the new Futuwwa (Iraqi Youth Movement) modelled on the Hitler-Jugend (Hitler Youth [HJ])."[2][5]

During WW2, senior officials in the Iraqi Ministry of Education, like Sami Shawkat and Fadhil al-Jamali, sustained firm ties with Fritz Grobba and "frustrated an initiative by the Iraqi security services to deport German teachers who were spreading Nazi propaganda in Baghdadi high schools. They also maintained a pro-Nazi nationalist organization."[3] In 1944, he joined the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Later he served as Director General of Education.

He became the representative of Iraq at the founding ceremony of the United Nations Organization in 1945. In 1947 he became foreign minister of Iraq and also co-chair of the Iraqi delegation to the UN Assembly of that year. In August of 1952 he once more became foreign minister under Premier Mustafā al-'Umarī and again acted as Iraq's chief delegate to the United Nations.

As foreign minister, he was the only who bothered to come from Baghdad to New York to deliver his venomous speeches against the State of Israel at the United Nations. There were no participating ministers in the regular meetings of the assembly. They would come for the opening only, and return to their countries afterwards, leaving their permanent representatives. But Fadhil Jamali never gave up the pleasure of insulting the Jews. At a time when his dream was realized like the dream of every statesman and the prime ministership was handed over to him, Jamali was not 100 percent happy. As Prime Minister he did not have the possibility to leave his country for a few months, and in the meantime he lost the pleasure of inciting at the Jews. At every UN assembly, there were discussions about the world as a whole. The agenda contained close to a hundred items. But only one item was of interest: the Land of Israel. In his speeches, he "included one characteristic paragraph: that the attitude of the Jews to the Arab refugees It is worse than the attitude of the Nazis towards the Jews. Like a ghost drawn to the scene of his crime, Fadhil Jamali was always drawn to the analogy with Nazi Germany. Because he was one of Hitler's first followers, and stayed with him a few years before the outbreak of the World War."[4]

After the coup of July 1958 he was imprisoned. In July 1961 he was released from prison.[8]

Dr. Fadil Jamali...sitting in his prison cell... A man like him.. who, if he could, would have strangled with his own hands.

I knew the person who was the prime minister of Iraq and its foreign minister very well. For many years he sat at the UN at the head of his country's delegation, and never missed a seat.

"Thanks to him" the question of the Land of Israel never dropped from the order of the United Nations assemblies. And he always made sure that she would be the main Arab speaker, and that his "righteous" work would not be done by others. He was the only foreign minister who bothered to come from Baghdad to New York to deliver his venomous speeches against the State of Israel.

It is interesting that in all his speeches - I heard many of them - he always included one characteristic paragraph: that the attitude of the Jews to the Arab refugees It is worse than the attitude of the Nazis towards the Jews. Like a ghost drawn to the scene of his crime, Fadhil Jamali was always drawn to the analogy with Nazi Germany. Because he was one of Hitler's first followers, and stayed with him a few years before the outbreak of the World War.

Jamali was in his spirit and nature what the exiled Jews would call a 'pogromchik', a rioter holding a knife or a dagger or an iron rod and storming at the head of a group of bloodthirsty hooligans on a house where Jews live.

He was a man with a university education, received a western education, spoke fluent and corrected English. The European education did not mow down his baser instincts. It was enough to look at his face, to glimpse his sparkling eyes peeking out from above the glasses and to recognize that before you stands a cruel killer, a sadist who doesn't even need an echo instrument to kill, but with both hands he is ready to do the job. He was not alone among the Arab delegations in hating Israel. Which one loves us? But the Egyptian representatives used a more civilized language in their insults and not least - the Lebanese representative. The Yemenis and the Saudis would say what others, their advisers (and not always Arabs; the episodes had a British hand behind them) dictated to them: only two Arab diplomats would compete with each other in the crudest and most despicable form of hate speech: the Iraqi Fadhil Jamali, and the Syrian Farid Zayn al-Din . Both are doppelgangers, and both are brutal without gloves. Now an even bigger competitor has arisen for both of them: Ahmed Shukeiri, "made in Palestine".

There was no plot that the sick minds of these three did not invent against us. All the corruption in their souls burst out in their performances on the Land of Israel issue. It was enough to listen to a few sentences and the listener would judge without error: the deserter is a degenerate, a sadist, a murderer. Since his status did not allow him to murder and suffocate with his own hands (if it weren't for his high office, he would certainly have chosen the office of executioner for himself), his words were a substitute for his actions. His mouth spat and emitted poison. When he finished his speeches and then went out to the large corridor next to the conference hall to "breathe air." The murderous lust in which he was in needed of a let out. After his "Israeli" speech, he felt the need to hear from his friends and assistants praising words his face beamed with happiness, how he "slaughtered" them, the Israelis!

Fate played a prank on him. Even when Jamali was sentenced to die following the coup that broke out in his country, he was not killed together with the king and Nuri Sa'id on that morning of the fourteenth of July. His political opponents kept him alive for several months. They held a show trial for him, where he was accused of "loving Jews". ‭ ("It is possible to imagine what his gut felt when he sat on the defendant's bench with zero power and listening to such a plot they put on him) and gave him a stay of about six months for long reflections in the isolated cell of the prison.

Undoubtedly, he recalled all his slanderous speeches against Israel and the Jewish people: he reproduced them in all their details and grammar; He refreshed in his mind all the situations he was in after his performances when he walked like a governor in the square in the UN lobby. And maybe he also remembered how he stuck his two angry eyes at me and my friends H. Justus, a "Maariv" writer in the USA, when we met him after his speech in the elevator of UN, and we spoke Hebrew aloud, so that he would know who his neighbors were in the narrow compartment of the elevator, between whom he was caught in his moment of joy over the curses and sanctions he had brought down on Israel.

For many months now the front pages of the world have been crowded with the blow by blow description of a struggle which has finally reached the United Nations. . .The problem has been how to find a place under the warm Palestinian sun for the living skeletons who, from 1933, suffered the foul tortures of Hitler's fevered brain.

Arrayed against this pitiful group of human beings is a wicked clique of men who, despite their hostility to the Allies, have been granted powerful voices within the United Nations. Sitting on the sidelines — and whipsawed by the Arabs into hatred for one another — are the U. S. and Great Britain. This week, a United Nations Committee decided to hear all the facts. The Arabs answered with threats of war. War is a horrible crime. Now, then, is the lime to point an accusing finger at the real crim- inals — and to document the  incontrovertible evidence.

The whole Arab world is led by a Hitler stooge, a dictator in his own right. His name: Haj Amin El Hussemi — otherwise known as the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. Those who speak for the Arab cause (at the UN) do so under his direct supervision and control . . . Here, in a capsule. Js the political career of this Arabian Fuehrer. In Iraq, Italy and Germany, the Grand Mufti organized Arab legions to foul up tne Allies In Europe and Africa. He stimulated the Baghdad pogrom (in '41) resulting m the murder of 400 innocents. He Inspired a revolt by the Iraq army against Great Britain in April '41. When the Iraq revolt flopped he fled to Italy as Mussolini's guest. ... he went to Berlin where Hitler set him up in a special office-^with branches in Germany and Italy— for propaganda, espionage and sabotage against the Allies. The Mufti didn't spend his time playing parchesi. He had offices in Istanbul and Geneva; in Athens established sabotage school; in the Hague trained students in wireless transmission, high explosives and demolitions; parachuted agents into Turkey, Syria and Iraq to cut telephone wires, oil pipe lines, and to sabotage railways and bridges. And who has the great "statesman" chosen as his spokesmen before the United Nations Assembly? Have a few looks:

Dr. F. Jamali.. Jamali calls himself an "educator" — but the British Defense Security Office says: "In 1937 Dr. Jamali. at that time Director- General of Education, visited Germany where he was accorded an official welcome and was lavishly entertained. On his return Dr. Jamali was prevailed upon by the Germans to send a delegation to the Nuremberg Rally of 1938. A delegation was sent and the Iraq youth movement was reorganized on the lines of the Hitler Jugend. The Iraq Ministry of Education (headed by Jamali) worked actively on behalf of the Germans against the British, and against the interests of their own country."

    Farrid Zein ed Din:

Syria's gift to the UN Assembly and one of the Arabs' most important representatives. In 1941 this man was arrested as an Axis agent by the Allies in Syria and thrown into prison for three years. When freed he was immediately welcomed back by his pro-Nazi Iraquislings — to become an important spokesman at the U.N. in the U. S.

    Emil Ghouri:

He pronounces his name "GORY" (how accurate!) This Arabilbo is the chief of the three-man delegation sent by the Arab Higher Committee to the UN. . .British Intelligence brands Ghouri as a Chief Advisor to the Grand Mufti—when the master war criminal was organizing the Iraq Rebellion against the British. B. I. nails this Arabum as "responsible for propaganda, intrigue and subversive activities inside and outside of outside of Iraq" during the dark days when the English were being crushed from the East and West by the Nazi blitzkrieg.

    Wasef Kamal:

A delegate of the Arab Higher Committee to the UN — and a close pal of the Grand Nazi. This Arab! got was Hitler's honored guest in Berlin. He was so bad that the British excluded him from the amnesty they granted to other Arab leaders. Which apparently qualified him as an Arabian spokesman. Before the Arab League sent its flunkies to the UN the ground work for its position was set in the U. S. by imported sympathizers:

Ahmed Hussein: Arrived in the United States a few months ago as a "correspondent" for the Cairo newspapers. By his own admission he is a high-pressure Arab press agent. . .Hussein is the head of the Fascist "Young Egypt" Party and a pal of the grand Ratti. Was the chief speaker at a recent New York meeting of the German-American Republican League — organized by two convicted

chief speaker at a recent New York meeting of the German-American Republican League — organized by two convicted hate- peddlers named Kurt Mertig and Ernest Elmhurst.

    H. L. Katibah:

Old-time professional Arab propagandist editor-in-chief for the Institute of Arab-American affairs. This outfit is the successor to the Arab National League which (prior to Pearl Harbor' cooperated closely with the Nazi German-American Bund. The late president of the Arab National League, Dr. Shatara scurried around, speaking before pro-Nazi organizations in the U. S. Katibah and his Institute of Arab-American Affairs continue feeding the American public the "truth about Palestine ."

These are the men who now tell the people of the world (gathered at the United Nations) how to establish "justice for all" in the Holy Land. Since 1935 these Arabandists have been part and parcel of the Nazi propaganda and military machines. Now, May, 1947, Hitler's, Fifth Column has emerged from its burrow in Asia to raise its voice in the Boro of Queens.

This Arabnoxious clique makes Britain look like a monster, the U. S. a puppet, and the Jewish people (millions of whom died fighting the Axis) carpet-baggers. Give these Arabs hoods to match their  sheets and you've got — that's right!— an Asiatic Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. Or in lusty lingo — phony Arabian Knights.

Well, the middle East undercover men are now out in the open. The only thing missing is the goose step. But the Arab's sandal on the neck

of freedom feels the same to the people whose face is being pushed into the dirt. The Arabs, by their own admission, describe the economy of their country as depending upon the unpaid servant class. In plain English, this means slavery.
