Larry Johnson
Larry C. Johnson is a veteran of the CIA and the U.S. State Department’s Office of Counter Terrorism. He is the founder and managing partner of BERG Associates, which was established in 1998. Johnson provided training to the US Military’s Special Operations community for 24 years. Johnson is a member of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS).
Johnson has been included on the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) kill list.
Johnson summarized the West's relationship with Russia as such:
| Western leaders locked themselves into a narrative. And the narrative is basically, "Here's poor Ukraine, just minding its own business when this rapist thug that's Russia came along and decided to invade it. And they invaded in 2014. And the heroic Ukrainian people have been fighting back. And that's who we're fighting with" - that has no relationship to reality, at all. That is just complete manufactured crap.
It is the West that has been constantly meddling in Russia's internal affairs. It's been the West that has put together an organized intelligence effort to try to subvert and destroy Russia. But the way we sell that in the United States is we flip it, and maintain that that's exactly what Russia's doing to us. "Russia's trying to destroy us". Truth be told, if we had our hands in our pockets and were minding our own business, we wouldn't have a problem with Russia. But that's not the case. The United States, not Russia, has launched war, after war, after war, in the aftermath of the Second World War, which was supposed to put an end to this kind of madness. And whenever Russia gets punched in the face, and then decides to defend itself, then the West hollers, "Ah, see, it's an aggressor." I'm tired of it, frankly.[1] |
