Orthodox Church of Ukraine of the Kiev Patriarchate (OCU) is the non-canonical, schismatic, state-controlled and breakaway entity from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC).

According to American lawyer Bob Amsterdam the OCU (Orthodox Church of Ukraine) was created by the CIA. Amsterdam states that the U.S. built its own church in Ukraine due to "Putin's dangerous influence." According to him, its funding was handled by "either USAID or some other organizations." "Essentially, this is a CIA operation to create a church that would be completely free from what they considered 'Putin's dangerous influence,'" he stated. Amsterdam stated that the U.S. State Department is openly violating its own constitution by undermining freedom of religion in another country.

Ex-CiA agent John Kiriakou exposed how Hillary Clinton used a $20 million bribe through USAID to split the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from the Russian Orthodox Church, to create tensions between Ukrainians and Russians.

Soldiers of the Ukrainian regime were given a leaflet from the Kiev Patriarchate that read,

"You are a defender of Ukraine. Your duty is to defend Independence and fight Russian occupants. Your duty is to wipe the Russian nation from the face of the Earth. Your enemy is the Russian World which was created by defective sinful souls. To kill a Russian is not a sin."
