Talk:Elizabeth Warren

Breitbart has comprehensively busted Warren's claim to Cherokee heritage: "Elizabeth Warren Ancestor Rounded Up Cherokees For Trail of Tears." PeterKa (talk)

Fivethirtyeight has an article on Warren's 2020 chances. In her latest senate run, she was 15 points behind the site's estimate for what a generic Democratic would get. If I remember rightly, Hillary ran 4 points behind her party in her New York senate races. So if Hillary was unlikeable, Warren is nearly four times as unlikeable. You can't find a better source than a documented fake news site for her biography? She is, after all, running for president for a major party. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 11:28, 9 January 2019 (EST)

Beer drinking

It seems to me that the problem with Warren's "I really do drink beer" video it that she is drinking alone. This is impolitic because drinking alone is often said to be a sign of alcoholism. In her case, it is more likely that she has very little experience drinking beer and hasn't considered this point. PeterKa (talk) 10:01, 16 January 2019 (EST)

Excellent point. Even her husband doesn't want to drink with her. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 13:17, 16 January 2019 (EST)

Warren apologizes

When Warren released the results of her fake DNA test, the mainstream press told us it was a stroke of genius. That love that once burned so bright in the media's heart has died. Here is WaPo, dumping Warren in the bin with yesterday's trash: "Elizabeth Warren apologizes for calling herself Native American." PeterKa (talk) 18:56, 6 February 2019 (EST)

Apoligize? What's she going to do? Unlive her life to give back the affirmative action opportunities she stole from some poor minority schmuck who's now sleeping in an alley cause she ate their lunch? RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 19:31, 6 February 2019 (EST)
I found this New York Times headline amusing: "Elizabeth Warren’s Native American Ancestry Draws a Shrug From These Voters." How broad-minded the Georgia Dems interviewed in this article are! There are a lot of non-Indians in Georgia who claim Cherokee ancestry, so the NYT has chosen the most favorable audience possible. What a strange world we live in in which criticizing a white woman for falsely claiming American Indian ancestry is labeled "racist." PeterKa (talk) 19:03, 19 February 2019 (EST)
Her new slogan is "Warren 1/2020". RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 20:51, 19 February 2019 (EST)
I can hear her withdrawl speech already: "...the time is not yet...". RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 23:55, 1 June 2019 (EDT)
People are beginning to demand answers to cheeky questions like, "When did you first realize that you were not an American Indian?" PeterKa (talk) 10:40, 2 June 2019 (EDT)
And this morning it was reported she's rising in the polls. It must be among the cracker vote. She has a people of color problem. This video will be textbook example in poli sci classes of a "failed pivot". RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 14:02, 2 June 2019 (EDT)

Prosecuting the president

This is from a former law professor: "Warren Vows to Rescind DOJ Guideline Prohibiting Prosecution of Sitting Presidents." This idea is batty in so many ways. What is supposed to happen if a president is found guilty? The Secret Service will protect him in prison while the Federal Marshals prevent him from escaping? How will he receive a "petition for redress of grievances," as the First Amendment requires? Perhaps Warren assumes that the president will be shamed into resigning like Nixon. That would make the special counsel the ultimate authority in our system, the guy who can overturn a presidential election. Mueller has shown us that we cannot count on special counsels to behave responsibly. When Rosenstein hired Mueller, he was thinking mostly about protecting himself from the backlash against Comey's firing, which he himself had participated in. The office is extraconstitutional and the special counsel regulation should be rescinded. That would not stop an attorney general from appointing a special counsel when appropriate, but it would knock the pedestal out from under the position. PeterKa (talk) 06:31, 3 June 2019 (EDT)

  • I should add that the reason Mueller did not indict Trump isn't because he respects DOJ guidelines. It is because he wants Trump impeached. See Andrew McCarthey analysis in National Review. PeterKa (talk) 21:07, 3 June 2019 (EDT)
    • Geez. I thought it was improper for the White House to dictate to the DOJ what to do. Corey Booger did the same thing; after accusing Trump of interfering in investigations, promises to order an investigation in to Big Tech. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 23:37, 3 June 2019 (EDT)

Warren appears the winner

Like the Clinton's and Obama, I find it impossible to keep up with the BS flowing out of her mouth. I'm ready to declare her the winner. RobSDe Plorabus Unum 19:41, 22 September 2019 (EDT)
