Is the picture accurate?
The notion that the Apostles were grown adults during the time of Jesus's ministry is highly doubtful. Based on how the Gospels portray their personalities, combined with the fact that John the Apostle lived to around 100 A.D., most of them must have been teenagers during that three-and-a-half-year period. Matthew and Peter may have already been grown adults, but the rest must have been closer to being adolescents. —LT Rev. 22:13 Friday, 19:26, September 15, 2023 (EDT)
