In a sense, Ghislaine was the brains behind the operation. Her father, Robert Maxwell, ran an Epstein-style operation during the Vichy regime in collaboration with Soviet and British intelligence, blackmailing the rich and powerful who ran industries in support of the Nazi war machine.
