China lobby
China lobby is a phrase that came in vogue in the Cold War era. During WWII, the phrase Big Four was used that today refers to the Big Three - FDR, Churchill, and Stalin. The Big Four including Chaing Kai shek who was leading the war against Japan. Only after Stalin refused to meet with Chaing at the Tehran Conference was Chaing slowly dropped from the "Big Four" by U.S. mainstream propaganda outlets.

- If you think that Roosevelt's Treasury Department undermined China, why would you put in the article that the Roosevelt administration "supported" Chiang? When Soong Mei-ling addressed Congress in 1943, support for the Nationalists was bipartisan. But that didn't last long. When MacArthur proposed sending Nationalist troops to Korea, Truman fired him. - Chiang and the Nationalists from 1941 to 1945 were viewed in America like Churchill was in Europe, leading the fight against fascism. So much so, in fact, the Marines were the only ground troops engaging Axis Forces from 1941 until D-Day 1944. The sympathy for Chiang and the Nationalists can not be underestimated. Not until the Korean War, the McCarthy era, the Rosenberg and Hiss cases, did American media and academics begin adopting the Communist line about a "China lobby".
