Talk:Swords of Iron

The article needs an introduction. What is Swords of Iron?

Also, does the article need retitling/moving? Should the article be Operation Swords of Iron? Conservative (talk) 11:38, October 10, 2023 (EDT)

Something to start thinking about

The page now has 410,000 bytes. This means some readers may have problems loading it on their devices. So you may want to begin thinking about subdividing into sections that can be spun off into subpages with links back and forth between the pages. 102,984 bytes) (-859,224)‎ . Okay, looks a little more manageable now (typically, when a page starts getting up to 200,000-250,000 bytes, it's starting to get pretty big and page loads slow down. Additionally the number of outgoing links can affect Google rankings, too. RobSGet thee behind me, Satan 22:42, November 19, 2023 (EST)

Suggestion

If you add bolden type in the opening sentence such as: "Swords of Iron is the Israeli operational name for the Israel-Hamas war (alternatively, Israeli-Hamas conflict) that began October 7..." etc., the bolden will help Google and other search engines locate those bolden terms. Intro

I tried rewriting the Intro to bolden Oct 7 massacre with:

Operation Swords of Iron, [1] also known as the "October 7 War" which began following the October 7 massacre of hundreds of Israeli civilians, men, women, and children of all ages by the political/terrorist regime of Hamas.

Arab-Islamist "Palestinian" attack, atrocities

"The surprise attack began on the morning of Oct 7, 2023 during the Jewish Sabbath by land, sea and air & committed atrocities against civilians of all ages for hours...."

...but all I get is "Entity too large". Anyways, if we can bolden October 7 massacre, it can spare us from having to make a separate October 7 massacre article, for now. RobSZelensky Must Go! 18:10, September 17, 2025 (EDT)

Will take sometime and split it into two. THANKS.Telling (talk) 19:39, September 17, 2025 (EDT)
