Trusted News Initiative (TNI) was set up in 2019 by legacy media and Big Tech organizations to influence the 2020 United States Presidential election and assist spreading Covid misinformation. TNI partners include the Associated Press, Washington Post, AFP, BBC, CBC/Radio-Canada, European Broadcasting Union, Facebook, The Financial Times, First Draft, Google/YouTube, The Hindu, Microsoft, Reuters, Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, Twitter and The Wall Street Journal.[1]
