- Wars are costly. And Ukraine and the NATO countries are far more wealthy corporately than Russia - especially Russia in its present weakened state. And Trump is getting the European NATO countries to pony up more money for Ukraine and their own defenses. Plus, he has the minerals deal with Ukraine. On top of this, Trump is working on increased LNG sales to Europe. Plus, an oil price spike would be easier to handle under Donald "Drill, baby, drill" Trump.
