In baseball, a double header is two games played on the same day in the same park.
Traditionally the games would be played back-to-back, with only one admission fee charged. At the major league level, to the extent double-headers are played today they are played as "day-night" double-headers, with separate admission charged for each game, or when a game is rained out and has to be made up on the same day as a scheduled game.
