| + | == ... terms == | ||
| + | |||
| + | Are the 'terms' pages that useful in light of proper categorization? One could just go to the category and see the terms there. Alternatively, if the 'terms' pages are to be useful, templates at the top to do the names would be much cleaner than the current cut and pasted block. There are also a large number of terms that are capital letters (Acid Ionization Reaction for example from Chemistry Terms A) which make it a proper noun and require either multiple redirects or pipe links to properly have it included in the text as acid ionization reaction. What is the best way to go about fixing these problems? --Mtur 19:57, 4 May 2007 (EDT) | ||
| + | |||
| + | :Thanks for your ideas! I think I will make a template for the top of the pages now. As for terms with capital letters, I will try to correct them as I see them, and hope everyone will do the same. Eventually, that should resolve the problem. ~ SharonS Talk! 20:01, 4 May 2007 (EDT) | ||
| + | |||
| + | :: With a little bit of template magic, it would be possible to make one template that accommodates all terms pages with a variable. I am still confused as to the usefulness of the terms pages (and the master lists) given proper categorization of the terms in the pages one could just go to the category page instead which is automagicaly updated as new items are added. --Mtur 20:05, 4 May 2007 (EDT) | ||

Protection of pages

Yes;_; Billy M
Dear Sharon,
In principle, I agree with you regarding protecting pages. However, with that being said I saw JoshuaZ unreasonably removing scholarly cautions regarding evolutionary ideas concerning planet formation. I believe he did that because he is unreasonable. Perhaps now that he has a higher profile in regards to supressing creationist criticisms he will stop doing it. I am not very hopeful regarding this matter based on my experiences with him at Wikipedia, however, although I would be pleasantly surprised if he does cease and desist. I wrote Aschafly about reconsidering his reversal of banning and I will see what his response is. With that being said I will try to temper my protecting of certain pages unless I see continued supression of creationist material. Conservative 15:34, 1 March 2007 (EST)conservative

Dear Sharon,
Your message to User "ILOVEJESUS" does not seem to have taken. He chopped out a portion of my Debate Topic on Infinite regression; of course I put my content back using the History feature. I also did not appreciate his calling what he did a "minor edit." Must I set my preferences to advise me of all changes, major or minor?--TerryH 23:46, 7 March 2007 (EST)

Ketchup addition
What a great addition: ketchup! I really, really enjoyed that News of the Day, Sharon. Thank you!
I'm still laughing about that, Sharon. Your point about ketchup is hilarious!--Aschlafly 15:15, 9 March 2007 (EST)

I notice on that article that the large majority of the information was copied, by you, from a lecture on CP. While this isn't really breaking any rules, it's a bit strange. Do you think you could reword it so that it doens't look like it was copypasted from a lecture? GofG 17:13, 11 March 2007 (EDT)
- What is a lecture on CP"? What is CP? It's OK to copy from lectures on this site.--Aschlafly 17:15, 11 March 2007 (EDT)
- I think CP is the abbreviation for Conservapedia. I did copy that information from a World History Lecture. I will try to break it down into sections and reword parts of it to make it more usable. ~ SharonS 16:52, 12 March 2007 (EDT)
- That's fine to copy material from other areas of Conservapedia, including lectures. Nothing wrong with that at all!
- I guess we have a new abbreviation now: CP!--Aschlafly 16:58, 12 March 2007 (EDT)
Thanks, Blocking policy
Sharon, thanks so much for your terrific blocks and edits. Feel free to use longer blocks for clear problems. Most of my blocks are for infinite duration, because I don't want problems to be coming back on expirations of short blocks. But I defer to your judgment. Thanks!--Aschlafly 16:47, 12 March 2007 (EDT)
- OK. I will be using infinite blocks for major vandalism from now on. ~ SharonS 16:52, 12 March 2007 (EDT)

Thought I'd pass this on to another sysop other than aschlafly for a change. The current article for Fox News Channel (Note, not the Fox News page) has LARGE elements lifted directly from wikipedia. I know that's a bad thing. Myk 18:24, 17 March 2007 (EDT)
If there is anything on that page, which I completely changed yesterday, and what I found was only like two paragraphs, it's because whatever is on Wikipedia was lifted from the sources I cited. I absolutely hate Wikipedia. --TK 08:23, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

If an article is nominated, it will remain on the following list for seven days. In this time, it must recieve eight (8) endorsements (signatures) from users interested in improving the article. If you wish to endorse an article, please sign your name using four tildes (~~~~) BELOW the signatures already present. If you wish to add a comment regarding the nomination, create a fourth-level heading (====Heading Goes Here====) BELOW the signatures already in place. The date listed next to the nomination heading is the date by which the article must receive eight (8) endorsements. Or, I can just do it for you. I have proudly posted a version of the "Pledge" on my user page, that I can acccept. It includes the Admin guidelines Andy approved, and does not ignore them. --~ TK MyTalk 07:32, 14 April 2007 (EDT)
request
I sent a letter of assistance regarding our abortion articles to right to life groups and I sent about 40 emails. Keep an eye on my user discussion page for people saying they are interested in being Admins/SYSOPS. Look at their edits and promote them to Admins if you think it is warranted. Here is my discussion page: http://www.conservapedia.com/User_talk:Conservative Conservative 22:24, 14 April 2007 (EDT)conservative You will need to unlock your user talk page for that to be effective. --CPAdmin1 22:29, 14 April 2007 (EDT)
- Thanks, I meant to unlock it way before this but I guess I accidently left it locked. It is unlocked now. Conservative 22:32, 14 April 2007 (EDT)conservative

... terms
Are the 'terms' pages that useful in light of proper categorization? One could just go to the category and see the terms there. Alternatively, if the 'terms' pages are to be useful, templates at the top to do the names would be much cleaner than the current cut and pasted block. There are also a large number of terms that are capital letters (Acid Ionization Reaction for example from Chemistry Terms A) which make it a proper noun and require either multiple redirects or pipe links to properly have it included in the text as acid ionization reaction. What is the best way to go about fixing these problems? --Mtur 19:57, 4 May 2007 (EDT)
- Thanks for your ideas! I think I will make a template for the top of the pages now. As for terms with capital letters, I will try to correct them as I see them, and hope everyone will do the same. Eventually, that should resolve the problem. ~ SharonS Talk! 20:01, 4 May 2007 (EDT)
- With a little bit of template magic, it would be possible to make one template that accommodates all terms pages with a variable. I am still confused as to the usefulness of the terms pages (and the master lists) given proper categorization of the terms in the pages one could just go to the category page instead which is automagicaly updated as new items are added. --Mtur 20:05, 4 May 2007 (EDT)
Hi Sharon
- - I came on to say ta for editing what I'd witten but not checked because I'm a lazy git, but PLEASE change the colours here: black on blue is really horrible...
- I'm not sure which colors you are looking at. It was mint green on purple a moment ago, but I just changed it back to black on the normal light blue. It is still black and blue for you? Thanks, ~ SharonS Talk! 18:26, 7 May 2007 (EDT)
- I'm not too good with colours, but the main page is legible. Mint green on purple sounds like the main page (what ARE you thinking?), and this page is back to normal :-) Unthank 18:30, 7 May 2007 (EDT)
Thank you!
For taking care of Koala! I was on the hunt for the vandal, found him, and socks, and then completely forgot about cleaning it up. :-( Bless you for catching it! --Sysop-TK /MyTalk 09:06, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
Smart block
Sharon, that was a very smart and alert block of User:Bjarnereuter. Excellent!--Aschlafly 09:31, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
Benjamin Franklin
Why did you revert my edits to the Franklin page? --1048247 13:46, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
Sharon, Thank you. I plan on adding more and fleshing out the article over the next week or so. --1048247 14:40, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
