Martha's Vineyard is a summer playground for wealthy liberals, featuring overpriced dilapidated cottages on an island off Massachusetts. A smaller island named Chappaquiddick is nearby and where the married Senator Ted Kennedy's sexy female companion for an evening was found suffocated in a car he was driving, upside down in a few feet of water. The Chappaquiddick incident shocked the nation.

Marth's Vineyard is 89% white. 80% voted for Joe Biden in 2020. The cost of living on the island is 60 percent higher than the national average, and housing prices are 96 percent higher.[1] The year-round working population of Martha's Vineyard earns 30 percent less on average than other residents of Massachusetts while keeping up with a cost of living that is 60 percent higher than average,[2] leading to a stark example of severe income inequalities between year-round residents and their seasonal counterparts.[3][4]

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, an enthusiastic supporter of the 2009 anti-capitalist Occupy Wall Street protests, held meetings with her Wall Street donors and CEOs in Martha's Vineyard.[5]

The Obama family bought a mansion in Martha's Vineyard for $11.75 million.[6] Despite Barack Obama's opposition to President Trump's plan to build a wall along the U.S.–Mexico border in order to secure it, it was reported in early 2017 that Obama was building a wall around his new mansion, obviously to keep unwanted people out.[7] The oceanfront property has magnificent views of the sea, which Obama claimed were rising due to climate change.

In 2018 a woman at a luxurious dinner party in Martha's Vineyard threatened to stab famed attorney and author Alan Dershowitz in the heart for his refusal to support "impeachment" of President Donald Trump.[8]

Planeloads of Illegals

In October 2021, county commissioner Keith Chatinover for Martha's Vineyard told The Martha’s Vineyard Times, "I would love Martha’s Vineyard to become a haven for new immigrants to this country."[10]

Conservative Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis stunned the liberal elite by sending two planeloads totaling 43 Venezuelan illegal aliens to Martha's Vineyard on September 14, 2022. The liberal media went into a tizzy over this brazen -- and long overdue -- relocation of the migrants to liberals' own backyard. DNC mouthpiece MSNBC reported, "Migrants are actually thanking Gov. Ron Desantis for having brought them to Martha's Vineyard."[11] In less than 24 hours,[12] Democrat officials moved to deport the 'undesirables' from the liberal elite playground.[13] Local officials cited a lack of housing, although the island has only 16,000 year-round residents yet houses more than 100,000 in the summertime. 125 members of the Massachusetts National Guard were activated to deport the 43 people of color, including children, off the island.[14]

Chappaquiddick incident

Sen. Ted Kennedy reportedly made 17 phone calls, before eventually reporting the car driven off the bridge to the police the following day. [15] Kennedy never apologized to the victim's parents.[16] It remains unknown whether Kennedy was driving while intoxicated and/or had sex with the victim, whose parents were devout Catholics. A 2017 critically acclaimed documentary movie entitled "Chappaquiddick" (called "The Senator" for its release in England), implied a relationship between Kennedy and the victim. Twenty years after the incident, the victim's father told a reporter that his daughter had not died in vain because it kept Ted Kennedy from ever becoming president.[16]

Kennedy plane crash

On July 16, 1999, John F. Kennedy Jr., son of President John F. Kennedy, along with his wife Carolyn and sister-in-law Lauren Bessette, died in a mysterious plane crash into the ocean just short of Martha's Vineyard. The crash occurred within days of an NBC Dateline story hinting at a possible run for the US Senate in 2000. The Newsweek issue for the following Monday, which NBC Dateline had reported would announce JFK Jr's candidacy, was yanked from distributors and destroyed. Reporters Cindy Adams and Andrew Goldman documented the planting of fake news about JFK Jr. in the media in the days following his crash. First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, a carpetbagger from Arkansas, then ran unopposed in the 2000 Democratic primary for the US Senate seat from New York and was elected in the November general election.
