-:However, I would warn beforehand: Antisemitism is the title Wikipedia uses. -::Alright, let's consult with Telling as well about this matter <s>(I can do this after Christmas)</s>, since he probably holds greater expertise on this subject than perhaps both of us combined. I don't think we should base these decisions simply on how Wikipedia does things; if you do some research into the spelling difference, you'll find a trove of information about how a) Wilhelm Marr's original spelling was, and remains in Europe, unhyphenated; b) the concept of "Semites" was evidently invented by scientific racists; c) Jews aren't the only form of "Semites" with the way the term is defined, and therefore "anti-Semitism" means "Semite-hatred" rather than "Jew-hatred," its actual meaning. —<code><span style="background:#FF8181">LT</span></code> (Exodus 23:2) Sunday, 00:08, December 25, 2022 (EST)

-RobS, you wrote concerning the USA: "Defubnding Ukraine is the biggest issue we face".
-My reply:
-Defunding Ukraine is not the biggest issue the USA faces. It's biggest issue is its deficit spending and its bloated government which is largely driven by its entitlements and huge defense spending.  The federal government spent $6.27 trillion in FY 2022. Right now, 14% of the total federal spending is paying on interest related to the national debt. About $100 billion was spent on the war in Ukraine which is about 1.6% of government spending. So from a budgetary perspective, the war on Ukraine is a small part of a much larger problem. Americans, who are living longer, need to work longer and Social Security and Medicare should be means tested.  Also, the USA spends a ton on health care and Americans are not super healthy. Japan is the only country in the world to have successfully tackled obesity and they have a "fat tax". Japanese live 7 years longer on average than Americans. Tax the fat people America!
-Both Russia and Ukraine are filled with corrupt and authoritarian people which is why their futures are bleak. On the other hand, one in three Africans live below the global poverty line and Taiwan is being bullied by China so I have a lot more empathy for these people. According to the World Data Lab, 42 African countries are in poverty, and in 16 of those countries, the poverty rate is rising. Based on the research related to Protestant cultural legacies, evangelism directed towards Africa could improve their situation. I believe Africa is more fertile ground for the gospel than Ukraine/Russia. The Christian faith has grown exponentially in sub-Saharan Africa, from just 9% of the population in 1910 to 63% today. On the other hand, in 2022, it was reported that attendance at Russian Orthodox Church services in Russia has dropped to around one percent.
-Maybe Americans will develop more Ukraine fatigue. I hope so, but judging from Vietnam War, Iraq War and Afghanistan War and the strength of the military-industrial complex, the funding of the war could drag on.
-And as far as an issue that is going to affect the world, if you read the article Religion and Africa, you will read "Africa has a high fertility rate and it is seeing a big population boom. According to the Institute For Security Studies: "Africa's population is the fastest growing in the world. It is expected to increase by roughly 50% over the next 18 years, growing from 1.2 billion people today to over 1.8 billion in 2035. In fact, Africa will account for nearly half of global population growth over the next two decades... Between 2000 and 2020, the continent of Africa had more than 37,000 new Christians every day.

-If the USA cut off support for corrupt and authoritarian country of Ukraine, that would be a good thing. Maybe the national debt caused by a potential Great Depression 2.0  will not be as severe. Whatever happens during this war, it will not alter the bleak future that Russia and Ukraine will probably have due to their multiple problems which their societies are disinterested and/or are not motivated enough to fix.
-John Mearsheimer believes that before the war in Ukraine Russia did not have big imperial ambitions that included eventually attacking NATO countries and that the USA baited the Russian bear by talking about Ukraine/Georgia joining NATO. As far as Russia not having imperial ambitions that involved attacking NATO nations, he is probably right, but who knows? Peter Zeihan believes Putin has imperial ambitions that involve taking over Ukraine and then attacking some of the NATO countries that historically were areas that countries went through to attack Russia (Zeihan believes that Russia wants to take over some of the lands around Russia.).
-The historian Stephen Kotkin, who is knowledgeable about Russia and authoritarian regimes, says it is often unknowable what dictatorial/authoritarian leader intends to do and even close associates don't know what the leader intends to do. And Kotkin says that often the leader doesn't know himself what he is going to do next. He also indicates Putin keeps his cards close to his chest. Kotkin is in favor of arming Ukraine and forcing Putin to the bargaining table by threatening his regime and that shaving up off some points of his GDP is not enough. Kotkin also said that the longer the war in Ukraine lasts, the more resources that cannot be used to help defend Taiwan.
-I believe that the Biden Administration is incompetent and somewhat aggressive as far as their international/military policy (Less aggressive than G.W. Bush, but more aggressive than Donald Trump), but the Republicans might decide to lessen and perhaps eventually stop the flow of funds of money to Ukraine.
-In the USA, the most recent poll data indicates:  "Overall, public support for Ukraine aid has fallen from 60 percent last May to 48 percent now according to surveys by The Associated Press-NORC Center for +Public Affairs Research. The share of Americans who think the United States has given too much to Ukraine has grown from 7 percent a year ago to 26 percent in January, according to the Pew Research Center. And even supporters make clear their commitment is not without bounds. While 50 percent of those surveyed by Fox News said American support should continue for “as long as it takes to win,” 46 percent said the time frame should be limited.that support for Ukraine is now at 48% of Americans" (see: SUPPORT EBBING FOR KYIV’S FIGHT AS MONEY FLOWS). I believe that the more this war drags on and the more USA taxpayer money flows to Ukraine, the more Americans will experience Ukraine fatigue. And I don't believe that Europe has the ability or desire/willpower to push the Russians out of Ukraine.
-I don't pretend to know how the conflict in Ukraine will pan out, but I hope the conflict ends as soon as possible. Both Mearsheimer/Zeihan believes that the odds favor Russia in winning the war in Ukraine and I tend to agree with them about Russia having the upper hand. Mearsheimer is more a dove towards Russian than Zeihan. Kotkin admits he doesn't know how it will end. At this point, the prediction market data indicates that Republicans have about a 6.5% better chance of winning the presidency in 2024. Who wins the presidency in 2024 will definitely have an impact on Russian/USA relations. What happens in the war in Ukraine and the USA economy are likely going to be a very determining factors of who becomes the next president of the USA, but these two things are hard to predict - especially the economy. And how the USA economy is doing is probably going to be the most decisive factor of who wins the presidency in 2024.
-With that being said, my interest in the war in Ukraine has waned. So I am not going to discuss this matter more with you. Conservative (talk) 05:56, March 3, 2023 (EST)

-::You need to learn how to discern propaganda. For example, the Washington Free Beacon, ordinarily considered a conservative or Republican source, and an excellent one at that, has this headline this morning: Biden’s Self-Defeating Ukraine Strategy, - a seemingly anti-war statement - until you read the subheadline, Restricting weapons to Ukraine gives Russia and China the advantage. More NATO Nazi scare tactics.
-::Remember, it was the Free Beacon that first hired FusionGPS to dig up dirt on Trump before the primaries, but failed (i.e., Steele tried to peddle his Trump-Russia scheme to them but the editors saw Steel had no evidence or merit, so they cut him loose after Trump won the primaries. They weren't in the business of taking down Trump at all costs). But "restricting weapons to Ukraine gives Russia and China the advantage" clearly puts the chief editor in the "more for Ukraine" camp. Free Beacon is one of the few conservative Republican sources I did not unsubscribe from when the chips were down and they started spewing Russophobic propaganda. I know their reach and influence, and what they say is often repeated and expanded upon with further investigations by other conservative Republican publications. Their influence in domestic politics is unrivalled. In foreign policy, their reporting on China is excellent. I don't know if that's true, but even if so, how could they verify it? Maybe they thought it was just Russian propaganda. Maybe they feared the Nazis exploiting it by alleging a Jewish plot and world conspiracy in the US State Department. -== Question about William Z. Foster ==
-So according to this source, he advocated better race relations between whites and blacks "following the defeat of the National Committee." So what year was that? Was it before or after the 1919 Steel Strike, when he denounced blacks as "a race of strikebreakers"? If after, does it signify that Communist efforts at recruiting blacks were merely expedient efforts to improve their public image as supposedly pro–civil rights? —<code><span style="background:#FF8181">LT</span></code> (Matthew 26:52) Tuesday, 23:47, May 22, 2023 (EDT)
-:That's a big question. Offhand I wouldn't know. William Z. Foster authored the Toward Soviet America which I recently spoke about where he proposed a Negro Soviet Socialist Republic (basically Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabam and parts of Tennessee, if I recall, the so-called "Black Belt"). There are some research materials on it in Conservapedia dating back to when the Communists took over the White House with Obama after their defeat in the Cold War (i.e., if looking for Communists, don't look at Putin. Look at Obama and his National Security Council.) RobSGive Peace a chance 00:00, May 23, 2023 (EDT)
-::Hmm, I think I'm sensing the larger picture now. So Foster, like other Communist labor unionists, hoped to organize blacks into their cause... hence, when black workers resented strikes because of the general racism of labor unions, he lashed out at them. —<code><span style="background:#FF8181">LT</span></code> (Matthew 26:52) Tuesday, 00:07, May 23, 2023 (EDT)
-:::Between Reconstruction and WWI, the so-called "Guilded Age", there was a migration of Blacks from the predominantly agrarian South to growing industrial North and Midwest, cities like Chicago, Detroit. Milwaukee, Cleveland, etc., where they were used as scabs and strikebreakers. Foster's early appeal to Blacks largely failed cause Blacks would not accept the Marxist line of "religion is the opiate of masses" and followed Black preachers. So in the decades of the 1930s and 1940s the Marxists had to tweek their appeal to Black preachers, until they found one - MLK, who was willing to listen (MLK explains in his 1957 book, The Montgomery Story).
-:::Excerpt from Foster's book:
-{{quotebox-float|The Republican party, boasted friend of the Negro, is equally responsible with the Democratic party for the maintenance of this criminal outrage. Such Negro organizations as the Urban League and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, dominated by the white and Negro capitalists and petty bourgeoisie, also have this responsibility; they live by cultivating segregationalism; they sabotage every real fight for the liberation of the Negro. In the case of the framedup nine Scottsboro Negro boys, the attorney of the N.A.A.C.P. made a purely formal defense, practically coinciding with the prosecution.
-As for the American Federation of Labor, its record on the Negro question is one of shame and treachery; it falls into step with the whole capitalist policy by barring Negroes from its unions, by blocking their entry into the better-paid jobs, by refusing to fight for their burning demands, by cultivating the insidious white chauvinism. The measure of the policy of the A.F. of L. on the Negro question is to be seen, for example, in Atlanta, where Negroes are not even allowed to enter the local labor temple.
-The Socialist party, despite all its parade of radicalism and alleged friendship of the Negro, follows the same basic Jim-Crow line as the A.F. of L. This was clearly shown by Heywood Broun, Socialist leader, when he said:
-“If I were a candidate for high executive office, or judiciary office, I would say, even without being cornered, that I would not now sanction the efforts to enforce the 14th and 15th Amendments to the Constitution of the United States.”5
-The Communist party, alone of all the political parties, fights for the liberation of the Negro, both in the present-day struggle and as an ultimate goal. The American Soviet government, immediately it takes power, will deal a shattering blow to the whole monstrous Jim-Crowism. To destroy it ruthlessly will be one of the real joys of the victorious proletarian revolution. Every remnant of slavery will be abolished. In a Soviet system, the Negro will have the most complete equality—economically, politically, socially. The doors to every occupation, to every social activity, will be wide open for him. He will have ample land, confiscated from the great white landlords. He will be free to do and go as any other citizen, without let or hindrance. Attempts to maintain the capitalist white chauvinism and ostracism of the Negroes will be punished as a serious crime against society. Socialism will mean the first real freedom for the Negro. He is beginning to realize this, hence his mass turning to the Communist party for leadership, and the consequent deep alarm of the capitalists and big landowners at this growing unity of white and black toilers.
-The status of the American Negro is that of an oppressed national minority, and only a Soviet system can solve the question of such minorities. This it does, in addition to setting up real equality in the general political and social life, by establishing the right of self-determination for national minorities in those parts of the country where they constitute the bulk of the population. The constitution of the Soviet Union provides that, “Each united republic retains the right of free withdrawal from the Union.” The Program of the Communist International declares for:
-“The recognition of the right of all nations, irrespective of race, to complete self-determination, that is, self-determination inclusive of the right to State separation.”
-Accordingly, the right of self-determination will apply to Negroes in the American Soviet system. In the so-called Black Belt of the South, where the Negroes are in the majority, they will have the fullest right to govern themselves and also such white minorities as may live in this section. The same principle will apply to all the colonial and semi-colonial peoples now dominated by American imperialism in Cuba, the Philippines, Central and South America, etc.
-And logically, foreign-born workers, now denied the right to vote and ruthlessly deported, will enjoy the fullest rights of citizenship. One of the most monstrous features of the present attack upon the working class is the deportation of tens of thousands of foreign-born workers by Doak’s Department of Labor. These masses of workers, torn away from home and families, are sent back to countries with which they have lost all touch. Doak’s deportation campaign, part of the capitalist offensive, is an attempt to terrorize the foreign-born workers, to crush every semblance of resistance among them, to split them off from the American-born workers. The wholesale deportation of radical workers and leaders is an attempt to illegalize the Communist party and the TUUL.
-The experience with self-determination of national minorities in the Soviet Union shows that the Russians have solved this problem with the revolution. The many national minorities have the right of self-determination; they have their own languages, their own culture. Yet they all live together in the strongest unity under the general constitution of the U.S.S.R. Where there is no capitalist or feudal exploitation there can be no suppression of weaker nationalities. The radical liquidation of the “insoluble” Jewish problem in the U.S.S.R. testifies to the completeness of the Bolshevik cure. Murderous pogroms, a curse of old Russia, are now totally eradicated. The Jews enjoy absolute equality with all other nationalities. The solution of the question of suppressed nationalities, a question which causes untold misery in the capitalist world, is one of the greatest achievements of the Russian revolution.
-The American Soviet will, of course, abolish all restrictions upon racial intermarriage. The arguments of Ku Klux Klanners and the like that Negroes are an inferior race and that “mongrel” peoples are less capable, have no justification in science and social experience. Those “scientists” who endorse such “white supremacy” theories are only so many bought-and-paid-for upholders of the prevailing mode of exploitation. The facts are that all the big peoples of today are already hopelessly “mongrel” and that wherever Negroes have half a chance they demonstrate their intellectual equality with the whites. Geographic isolation of the early human stock into widely separated groups brought about its differentiation into individual races; contact between these various races, bred of modern industrialization, is just as irresistibly breaking down these racial differences and bringing about racial amalgamation. The revolution will only hasten this process of integration, already proceeding throughout the world with increasing tempo. }}
-:Don't look at this chapter in isolation from the whole book; for example the chapter following "The Liberation of the Negro" is "The Liberation of Women", just as the 1960s Civil Rights Movement was followed by the 1970s Women's Liberation Movement. -By putting in LT's username in a subheading, I was not trying to harass him. I was merely pointing out what I was referring to. Second, I realize that LT was miffed that I did not want to do a second round of debates with him concerning some theological topics. I do want to point out that my interest in those theological topics was mild to begin with.  And to further debate him on those topics and do it well would have required me to do some additional research which is something I don't want to do given my outside commitments, interests and priorities in life.  I am endeavoring to use my various God-given talents in a way that will help the most people. And I don't believe that doing the extra research to debate LT on those theological topics is something I should do as it would not benefit the most people. Lastly, I did give LT a number of links to theological discussion forums so he should not have been angry at me for not wanting to do a second round of debate on those theological topics nor should he have acted in a nasty manner towards me. For the Adventist Church's hierarchy to dictate, as a requirement, accepting them as the exalted and glorious remnant, in order to join as an official member, reeks of arrogance. Also, I'm partially disgusted with their Judaic hypocrisy: they simultaneously portray themselves as the most Jewish Christian movement because of their adherence to Old Testament principles, yet believe in "replacement theology" that comes with various covert anti-Jewish tropes. -:Instinctively I'd say yes, but we still need to read the fine print from mycatholic.lif and the other source. It could the original photographer who took the pictures retained rights to their use.
-:Some sites will have "Usage policy" or "Copyright policy" link on their main page. Some images may have words to the effect of "All rights reserved" from wherever you found the image which restricts their use.  RobSGive Peace a chance 17:14, June 29, 2023 (EDT)

-:The quicker you learn about copyright conventions, the quicker Andy can grant you Upload rights. He's gonna put you through a verbal test first about what can and cannot be uploaded.
-:With the growth of internet, copyright laws have become extremely complicated. There now are various licenses that allow for free sharing. That's why Wikipedia advertises itself as "The Free Encyclopedia that anyone can use", which means you can copy paste to your hearts content any and all content from Wikipedia. Even in writing articles here at CP, you have to pay attention to your source material, whether or not its use is restricted, meaning you have to rephrase things in your words, or can you steal some of it or much of it by copy pasting.  RobSGive Peace a chance 17:25, June 29, 2023 (EDT)

NishantXavierFor Christ the King 15:05, June 30, 2023 (EDT)
-:Follow the wiki code I just uploaded. You can format it left, right, or center. The px is the size of pixels. Thumb allows for caption text.
-:If you want to eventually place the image in a Template (like we have for Office Holders), it's a little different and much simpler.
-:One thing to keep in mind for the size of an image and placement within the article is, most of our reads are on cell phones, and even readers on Desktops have varying sizes of monitors. So all this will affect how readers access and view the image. RobSGive Peace a chance 15:13, June 30, 2023 (EDT)

-It is regrettable that we got in some edit wars, etc.
-I have created a lot of well-supported content at Conservapedia some of which still gets considerable web traffic.  As such, it is very reasonable for me to ask that my civil discussions do not have templates put over them and that the content is not reverted. it is also reasonable for me to ask you to stop falsely calling me a Nazi. And when these things occur, it is fair for me to choose to step up my valid criticisms of Russia, China and Putin as an assertive protest when this occurs.

-:P.S. I did have a housemate with Russian heritage and I read a portion of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's three-volume series The Gulag Archipelago. I mainly read about the conditions in the camp - including the torture. But I did not read the whole three-volume book series. -I watched the video Edward Luttwak: Biden and Putin are ready to do a deal that you recommended. It was a good video.
-Steve Turley points out regarding societies/countries that external threats increase internal solidarity. And there is a lot of economic/social problems in China. So perhaps Xi Jingping is doing a lot of saber-rattling as a distraction strategy similar to the wag the dog strategy so his people don't focus on all the internal problems within China.
-But maybe it is less of a political calculation. Edward Luttwak points out that dictators are often irrational and unpredictable.
-If China/Russia are shrewd allies, perhaps Xi JingPing is doing all the saber-rattling in order to put pressure on the US/West to want to shift their focus more to Asia and to increase their desire to hammer out a deal as far as Ukraine.
-A lot of political decisions are caused by economics and right now the West, Russia and China have some dark economic storm clouds on the horizon. Edward Luttwak thinks that Russia's economic advisors warned Putin that escalating the war in Ukraine a lot could cause inflation in Russia which would be very harmful since Russia has a lot of rural people with fewer economic opportunities. As a result, inflation hurts rural Russians more than it does urban Russians. Conservative (talk) 01:07, July 24, 2023 (EDT)

-:Hey, it ain't my place to send people to hell, but I listened to him for many months. I still find him to be a very good pastor and preacher - almost everything you'd want to have in a parish leader, pastor or preacher. But eventually I realized, or had to convince myself, that his teaching was getting a little off track, at least from everything I was taught, knew or understood, or learned on my own.
-:Over my life I've had very many close, personal friends involved clergy, from all different faiths - Catholic priests to Baptist ministers (I have a brother who's a Methodist pastor and another who's a Pentecostal music director). I've been close enough to many where they confide in me some of the pitfalls and problems with the job. Anyways, I think I can judge and rate a good preacher as well as a good teacher of the word. -::::The gift of tongues served a crucially important purpose during the early Apostolic Era because the Spirit enabling Apostles to speak other languages further shared the gospel to numerous nations (the first Christians in the organized church were only Jews, after all). That aspect is obsolete nowadays with advanced translation efforts, etc. So while I have heard that some Christians speak in tongues, I don't see the practical purpose it serves nowadays in the direct sense of preaching the gospel, notwithstanding it being a potential/likely demonstration of the testimony of the Holy Spirit. —<code><span style="background:#FF8181">LT</span></code> Rev. 22:13 Thursday, 23:32, September 6, 2023 (EDT)

-Several times recently you have written to me "C'mon, feed me somemore." or words to these effect. If memory serves, it was on the talk pages of my essays.
-One of the great things about the United States Constitution is that it guarantees freedom of association.  Freedom of association means we have the freedom to associate with others who have similar political, religious, or cultural beliefs. In addition, people may choose to freely associate with people who have differing views who behave civilly.

-::Maybe I made a mistake. Maybe you didn't add the unsourced "Bill Browder is a communist" claim the moment our phone call ended. For now, I will assume good faith. I hope you are not acting in bad faith. I would prefer you work on material related to anti-Biden material or defund Ukraine material. And not insist on poisoning our phone agreement. -== Quick note ==
-I am glad we made some progress last evening on establishing a more cordial relationship.
-And I would definitely like to see less conflict between us. You could spend more time on content related to the Biden Administration and also create more content on defunding Ukraine. And I would spend more time on projects that I am very interested in - which at this time isn't politics.  But unfortunately, our conflict kept spiraling ever upward.
-I sent you and another person an email. Hopefully, this will cement things and open a new chapter of detente.
-And if we actually allow Conservapedia's guidelines, rules of etiquette and its Conservapedia Commandments to remind us of proper behavior, there should be no problems. And sometimes it requires rules to be enforced. Rules, when enforced, keep people in check.
-And when it comes to politics, people don't agree on everything. But again, that is where  Conservapedia's guidelines, rules of etiquette and its Conservapedia Commandments come into play. For example, using sources as a means to verify matters because Conservapedia Commandment #1 is "Everything must be true and verifiable". Conservative (talk) 10:19, September 9, 2023 (EDT)
-: "Everything must be true and verifiable" - unless it's in Essay space. Then you can post up whatever hate filled rhetoric is to you fancy. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 10:22, September 9, 2023 (EDT)
-::I disagree. I use sources and provide a lot of data. I endeavor to make sound arguments. Conservative (talk)
-== We appear to have solved our Bill Browder dispute. I am glad this occurred.  ==
-We appear to have solved our Bill Browder dispute. I am glad this occurred. I believe that Conservapedia Commandment #1 was instrumental in causing this to occur.
-And although my interest in politics has waned and I am seeing it more and more like being like the weather - namely something you feel tempted to complain about from time to time, but can't do much about - unfortunately our recent conflict and political disagreements had the unfortunate effect of actually increasing my interest in politics which is something I want to move to a much lower priority in my life. Although I enjoy politics/history, unfortunately sometimes one has to make sacrifices and exercise restraint for the benefit of others. Jesus famously said, "Not my will be one, but Thy will be done" and he commanded men to love God and our fellow man. Also,  I like honey, but if I gorged myself on it that wouldn't be very healthy.  There is a place for balance in one's life and politics is no exception. And by the way, I had a few logjams hinder my progress on some off-wiki projects. But recently, a few breakthroughs have started to occur that are breaking up the key logjams. In addition, I am batting down the hatches when it comes to time management.
-As far as my future plans in terms of writing about politics at Conservapedia, if China sees a big economic collapse due to various factors, I plan on updating my China content. Also, it would be great if Xi Jingping was forced out of power by his countrymen or if the CCP lost power. But most of my China content updates will probably relate to Christianity/atheism in China. But after all is said and done, what will happen in China is hard to predict because authoritarian regimes are opaque and they can collapse like the Soviet Union did.
-And as far as Russia, it is my opinion that things will change slowly for good or for bad. So maybe I will write about Russia in about 5 to 10 years. Yesterday, I listened to a lecture about Russia by a historian who specializes in Russian history. He gave 6 possible scenarios - including the "unexpected scenario" which nobody came close to predicting. I do hope that the most positive scenario happens to Russia for the sake of the Russian people and the world at large.
-I do hope that this detente lasts. There is no reason why it can't. Conservative (talk) 11:12, September 9, 2023 (EDT)
-:I think I'm developing a brain tumor from all this. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 12:54, September 9, 2023 (EDT)
-::It didn't have to be this way. Cordiality, seeking common interests, holding oneself up to high standards, self-restraint, tolerance and common sense go a long way to settling disputes. There probably would be more Hatfields and McCoys in the USA if these two families practiced these principles. Conservative (talk)
