Genocide

This seems a fairly straightforward issue to me. I have seen no definition of genocide outside of this site's article that requires that genocide be carried out by a government. The UN has not defined genocide this way, and the State Department states explicitly that genocide occurred in Bosnia. [1] Based on these facts, I think the definition in the article should be corrected, and the Srebrenica massacre should be reinserted as an example of genocide. What are your thoughts? I don't know enough about Srebrenica to know if it was genocide. I don't see the value in labeling anything as a "genocide". Call it a killing and then work on stopping it. All this arguing over what is and is not a genocide just ends up offending and distracting people -- in the mean time the body count rises. HelpJazz 22:43, 14 December 2007 (EST)

Page move/rename request

Is the movement/renaming of pages restricted to administrators? If not please will you let me know what to do. I believe that Scilly Isles should be renamed Isles of Scilly. Isles of Scilly is the formal name and is used in the UK post office format for the address:

If you enter as an example "Hell Bay Hotel", "Bryher" on the above link it gives "ISLES OF SCILLY". Many locals find the name "Scilly Isles" irritating and consider it incorrect. Thanks. Barclay 09:02, 21 December 2007 (EST)

It is restricted, however I am not an admin. A list of admins can be found here; I would ask one you are familiar with, if possible. I agree that they should be moved; if you type "Scilly Isles" into Yahoo, the only results that come up are ones for "Isles of Scilly". HelpJazz 22:51, 21 December 2007 (EST)

KAL 007 relevance

O.K. HelpJazz. Thanks for your note! I think that I need a little help making the connection of KAL 007 relevant to the the topics of Ronald Reagan and Communism (I think that you are referring to my postings on these two). I know that KAL 007 is very relevant to both the demise of Communism and to the funtioning of Reagan as President but apparently I didn't present it cogently and clearly. Can you help me with this? Let me know if I need to present it differently or if you think otherwise. Thanks! By the way, I assume that the Jazz in HelpJazz says something of your fondness for Jazz music. The best thing to do is just to write a short paragraph of its own in the relevant section, or just put a link in the "See Also" section. The way you had it we had a paragraph which was all about one subject, except for one sentence that seemed very out of place. I can help if you like, but I don't know much about the KAL.

adding sub-category to existing page

I wish to contribute a new sub-category to an existing page but really don't see how to do so. (If that made no sense, I wish to add "islamic world divisions" whoch would logicaslly be a branch off of the amin entry of "islam". How do i do this?
