Peanut butter is a food paste made from peanuts. It was invented in 1878. Today, it is often used in peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Peanut butter can also be a staple in the diet of some domesticated animals. Peanut butter comes in different forms, including chunky and smooth. Despite its name, it contains no dairy products.
George Washington Carver did not invent it but he promoted it.
