Homosexuality is an immoral sexual lifestyle between members of the same sex. It is more than simply a sexual act, it is going beyond the boundaries that God has setup for marriage; one man and one woman.
Sexual relations between the same sex is condemned in both Old and New Testaments. It is forbidden directly four times in the Bible.
- Leviticus 18:22 - You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.
- Leviticus 20:13 - If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them.
- 1 Corinthians 6:9 - Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
- Romans 1:26-27 - For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.

Promiscuity and disease
An article in the Washington Times stated the following: "In "The Male Couple," published in 1984, authors David P. McWhirter and Andrew M. Mattison report that in a study of 156 males in homosexual relationships lasting anywhere from one to 37 years, all couples with relationships more than five years had incorporated some provision for outside sexual activity."[1]
A study of the sexual profiles of 2,583 older homosexual men, published in the Journal of Sex Research, found that 2.7 percent claimed to have had sex with one partner only.[2]
The original spread of AIDS is generally attributed to homosexual promiscuity of men. Originally the syndrome was called the "gay disease" because the overwhelming majority of patients were homosexual men.
According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) from 1994 to 1997 the proportion of homosexual men stating they had anal sex increased from 57.6 percent to 61.2 percent.[3] Some studies report that anal sex may be an important risk factor for the relay of many diseases.[4][5][6][7][8]
As of 1998, fifty-four percent of all AIDS cases in the United States were homosexual men, and the CDC stated that nearly ninety percent of these men acquired HIV through sexual activity with other men.[9]
Intestinal Parasites
Anal sex can be an important risk factor for intestinal parasitism.[10]
An article in the Canadian Medical Association Journal stated the following in its abstract: "In a controlled study 67.5% of 200 homosexual men but only sixteen percent of 100 heterosexual men were found to be infected with intestinal parasites"...These findings suggest that the male homosexual community may be an important reservoir of potentially pathogenic protozoa."[11]
Syphilis and Gonorrhea
According to the CDC:

The CDC had the following to report concerning gonorrhea:

Resistance is especially worrisome in men who have sex with men, where it was eight times higher than among heterosexuals (23.8 percent vs. 2.9 percent). In April 2004, CDC recommended that fluoroquinolones no longer be used as treatment for gonorrhea among men who have sex with men. These antibiotics were also not recommended to treat the disease in anyone in California or Hawaii, where resistance has been widespread for years. Outside of these states, the prevalence of fluoroquinolone resistance among heterosexuals remains low at 1.3 percent."[13] | ” |
Homosexuality and Mental Health
Freud developed the theory that the future homosexual child is so overattached to his mother that he identifies with her and narcissistically seeks love objects like himself so he can love them like his mother loved him. If a "negative" or "inverted" Oedipus complex occurs, a boy seeks his father's love and masculine identification by taking on a feminine identification and reverting to anal eroticism ... homosexuality could result from reaction formation: sadistic jealousy of brothers and father is safely converted into love of other men. [3]
Studies have long indicated that homosexuals have a substantially greater risk of suffering from a psychiatric problems (suicide, depression, bulimia, antisocial personality disorder, and substance abuse).[14]
For example, a national survey of female homosexuals was published in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology which found that 75 percent of the approximate 2,000 respondents had pursued psychological counseling of some type, many for treatment of long-term depression or sadness.[15]
In contrast to claims by gay rights activists blaming this heightened incidence of mental issues on discrimination, John R. Diggs, M.D. states the following:

The Dutch have been considerably more accepting of same-sex relationships than other Western countries — in fact, same-sex couples now have the legal right to marry in the Netherlands. So a high rate of psychiatric disease associated with homosexual behavior in the Netherlands means that the psychiatric disease cannot so easily be attributed to social rejection and homophobia.[16] | ” |
The late Charles Socarides wrote:

Not only was it "off the track"; the people caught up in it were suffering, which is why we called it a pathology. We had patients, early in their therapy, who would seek out one sex partner after another-total strangers-on a single night, then come limping into our offices the next day to tell us how they were hurting themselves. Since we were in the business of helping people learn how not to keep hurting themselves, many of us thought we were quietly doing God's work.[17] | ” |

The Los Angela Times reported the frequency of methamphetamine use is twenty times greater among homosexuals than in the general population. Methamphetamine is known for contributing to the transmission of HIV. Mike Rizzo of the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center for sexually transmitted diseases has said,

Modern justifications
Terminology
Homosexuality is sometimes also defined in terms of an attraction, preference, or orientation. The term "orientation" is particularly favored by those who are promoting public acceptance of homosexuality.[20]
Opposition to homosexuality has been branded as irrational and hateful with the use of terms like "homophobia". However, this term itself can also be a form of intimidation against opposition. Rather than attack their arguments they use a personal attack, labeling the opposer simply afraid.
Claims of immutability
It is commonly argued that an inclination to homosexual behavior is inborn and immutable. It is also widely believed that the public will become more accepting of homosexuality if they are convinced that it is inborn and immutable. However, there is no scientific consensus on the subject.
Some research has suggested that adoptive brothers are more likely to both be homosexuals than the biological brothers, who share half their genes. This data prompted the journal Science to report "this . . . suggests that there is no genetic component, but rather an environmental component shared in families"[21][22][23].
Dean Hamer, a gay researcher, conducted a study of thirty-two pairs of brothers who were not related and exclusively homosexual. As they were not related, they should not share the same genes. However, two-thirds of the pairs (22 pairs) shared the same type of genetic material, supporting the hypothesis that there is an existing gene that either influences homosexuality, or is caused by homosexuality.[24] However, Hamer's study was attempted to be replicated and it is was reported in the journal Science that researchers were not able to confirm Hamer's findings.[25]
Hamer wrote: "It's important to stress what I didn't find. I did not prove that homosexuality is genetic, or find a genetic cause for being gay. I didn't show that gay men are born that way, the most common mistake people make in interpreting my work. Nor did I locate a gay center in the brain. ... Since I look at adult brains, we don't know if the differences I found were there at birth or if they appeared later."[26]
Many people have reported leaving homosexuality and becoming heterosexual through their Christian faith.[27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36][37]

When the rioters saw church children standing in the lobby, they shouted "We want your children. Give us your children." [42]

In 1990 and 1991 extreme public lewdness was exhibited at the Gay and Lesbian Parades in San Francisco and when police authorities were asked why there were no arrests they stated, "These people have shown they will riot at the drop of a hat, and it was the primary responsibility of police officers to keep the peace, even at the possible cost of tolerating public indecencies."[44]
Judicial activism
Treatment of homosexuals by the law has increasingly suggested that discrimination based on homosexuality employs a "suspect classification" subject to "strict scrutiny" under modern Fourteenth Amendment jurisprudence, with judges and scholars employing language to equate discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation with already forbidden racial discrimination practices.[45] Where federal law forbidding discrimination against homosexuals remains scant, the several states have more than taken up the burden, and many have made sexual-orientation based discrimination actionable at law and equity.[46] Perhaps this can be seen as an example of the robustness of the United States' federal system, as the states are acting just as Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes and Justice Brandeis expressed hope that they would, as "laboratories" of experimentation on the border of developed federal law.[47]
The Supreme Court recently overturned a Texas law banning sodomy. The majority opinion, written by Justice Kennedy, suggests that all forms of discrimination, including that based on sexual orientation, are now subject to rational basis review, and will be frowned upon unless a legitimate state interest in the discrimination is expressed. Justice Kennedy also held that the need to legislate morals by the states' police power is no longer a legitimate state interest, absent specific physical harms being proven. Justice Antonin Scalia wrote a blistering dissent, characterizing the opinion as including phrases which will become the "dicta that ate the rule of law."[48]
Homosexuality and Marriage
For many years, the American Psychiatric Association listed homosexuality as a mental disorder. However, the organization de-listed homosexuality in 1973.[49] Since the late 1960s, many people, both homosexual and heterosexual, have lobbied for more favorable laws for homosexuals.
Legal "marriage" between same-sex couples is now recognized in Canada, Spain, South Africa, Belgium, Israel and the Netherlands. Most other western European nations and several US states recognize a more limited marriage or civil union. 26 US states have passed constitutional amendments banning recognition of same-sex marriages, and federal law does not recognize same-sex marriage.
Homosexuality and Animals
There is currently interest on whether homosexual behavior is or is not zoologically "natural." This is largely a sterile debate because behavior is not necessarily moral even if "natural;" because the nature of human beings is not necessarily the same as the nature of other species, and because it is not at all clear when an observed behavior can be counted as "sexual," or as implying a sexual "orientation."
A 1996 article, published by an organization committed to the treatment of homosexuality, musters the arguments against interpretation of animal behavior as sanctioning homosexuality.[50] It notes that "homosexual scientist Simon LeVay" stated that the evidence pointed to isolated acts, not to homosexuality:
| “ | Although homosexual behavior is very common in the animal world, it seems to be very uncommon that individual animals have a long-lasting predisposition to engage in such behavior to the exclusion of heterosexual activities. Thus, a homosexual orientation, if one can speak of such thing in animals, seems to be a rarity. | ” |
In addition, Dr. Antonio Pardo, Professor of Bioethics at the University of Navarre, Spain, wrote:
| “ | Properly speaking, homosexuality does not exist among animals.... For reasons of survival, the reproductive instinct among animals is always directed towards an individual of the opposite sex. Therefore, an animal can never be homosexual as such. Nevertheless, the interaction of other instincts (particularly dominance) can result in behavior that appears to be homosexual. Such behavior cannot be equated with an animal homosexuality. All it means is that animal sexual behavior encompasses aspects beyond that of reproduction.[51] | ” |
National Geographic asserts however that homosexual behavior occurs in animals.[52] For example, every cattle farmer is familiar with the phenomenon of "bulling," cows mounting other cows; in fact, this is one of the standard signs farmers look for when determining that a cow is coming into estrus. However, it does not follow that the cows involved are showing anything analogous to human lesbian orientation.
Others assert also that sexual behavior between animals of the same sex is common:

Homosexuality and Creationism and the Theory of Evolution
An individual's beliefs regarding creationism and the theory of evolution appears to influence their views on homosexuality. Creationist scientists assert that the theory of evolution cannot account for the origin gender and sexual reproduction.[55][56] Furthermore, creationists assert that human homosexuality is not genetic in origin.[57]
Reparative Therapy
Reparative therapy is a technique of trying to talk people out of homosexuality (see psychotherapy).
Dr. Nicolosi argues that, at its root, homosexuality is not a sexual problem – it is a gender-identity problem. Normal stages of emotional development have been interrupted, and this can lead to same sex bonding in order to attain affirmation. These relationships tend to implode, leaving the homosexual hurt and confused. Furthermore, Nicolosi claims that there is no such thing as a homosexual, but only heterosexuals that have a homosexual problem. This may sound like splitting hairs, but it actually opens the door for the dissatisfied homosexual oriented person to change, because such people can begin viewing themselves as fundamentally heterosexual. This approach has had a great deal of success. [5]
Despite research in the 1960s by psychologists like Martin Seligman and Charles Socarides, the Stonewall riots prompted the APA to de-classify homosexuality as a mental disorder. Gay rights supporters sometimes cite this declassification as proof that homosexuality is normal, but it was based on a vote - not on scientific reasoning or scientific evidence.
The APA says that it opposes reparative therapy because (1) the therapy is influenced by those opposed to the gay rights agenda; (2) there is no proof that the therapy works, and just anecdotal reports of cures and psychological harm; and (3) the therapy stigmatizes homosexuality. The APA favors more research on the benefits and risks of reparative therapy. [[6]]
