Uzzi (Hebrew עֻזִּ֖י, forceful) is a biblical name meaning "the Lord is my strength".
Uzzi (fl. 2763-2843 AM), the son of Bukki, and a descendant of Aaron, was the sixth High Priest of Israel and an ancestor of Ezra. (1_Chronicles 6:5,51 , Ezra 7:1-5 )
Uzzi is one of three high priests of the line of Eleazar who held the office between the death of Phinehas (2603 AM) and the investiture of Eli (2843 AM).[1] Each of these three men is estimated to have held the office for eighty years. Uzzi held the high priesthood during the careers of Judges Gideon, Tola, and Jair.
