Daniel Jay Cameron (born November 22, 1985, age 40) is the conservative Attorney General of Kentucky.

Endorsed by U.S. President Donald Trump,[1] Cameron was elected Kentucky Attorney General in 2019 beating his white privileged Democrat opponent by 58% to 42%, becoming the state's first black Attorney General and the first Republican AG in seventy years.[2] Cameron takes conservative positions,[3] in particular a strong stance against illegal immigration.[4]

Cameron ran for governor of Kentucky in 2024, against the Democrat incumbent Andy Beshear. Against a well-funded opponent backed the Establishment and Never-Trumpers 2024, Cameron won the GOP primary in a landslide on May 17, 2023.[5]
