"Personal essays on topics relating to Wikipedia are welcome in your user namespace," according to Wikipedia policy. But I found out the hard way that this kind of essay is not so welcome. In May, there was a huge discussion about it and it was finally rev-deleted. A feminist oversighter blocked me a couple of weeks later. At the time, there was some handwaving and a lame rationale about edit warring. But I think it is safe to say that my block and ban were generally understood as ideological. You can read the full story in my Arbcom appeal. Update: I added Arbcom's reply. I have as much experience on Wikipedia as any of the people judging me. But all I can get is a "don't call us, we'll call you" type of response.
