A documentary is an artistic compilation, typically in film form, used to convey non-fictitious information for a mix of educational or entertainment purposes. The term "documentary" often implies truthfulness, but this is sometimes not the case. Most documentaries produced by Hollywood that are nominated for an Oscar have a distinct factual and liberal bias.[Citation Needed]
