Dan P. Ball (born December 19, 1974) is a cable television commentator and the host of the conservative program, One America News, on the OAN network, which was founded in 2013. His program began in the fall of 2020 and airs at 8 p.m. Eastern, opposite Tucker Carlson on Fox News. In 2021, he also began hosting a restaurant and heroes program, Hungry Heroes, which is released periodically on OAN.[1]
A native of Archbold in Fulton County in northwestern Ohio, Ball graduated in 1993 from Archbold High School. His brother, Donald W. Ball, was a firefighter who died on the job saving a life.[2] He is now based at OAN headquarters in San Diego, California. While in the United States Air Force, he graduated from the Defense Information School of Broadcast Journalism. He is a former journalist for KSNV-TV, Channel 3 , the NBC affiliate in Las Vegas, Nevada, from which he was twice suspended and then dismissed at the age of thirty-seven. Ball is also a licensed real estate agent.[2]
In 2018, he was a Republican candidate for the 36th congressional district in California, but he finished in the primary with less than 8 percent of the vote. The seat was won by Raul Ruiz, a Democrat, 59 to 41 percent for Republican nominee Kimberlin Brown Pelzer.[3]
